AK (Lighting and Signs) Limited understand that social responsibility is about recognising and addressing the needs, not only of customers, but of all groups which are affected by the activities of an organisation. Here at AK Lighting and Signs we believe that people are our most valuable resource. We give the health and safety of our employees and anyone else who may be affected by our business the highest priorities. We recognise our accountability to all clients, staff, the community and the environment, and we aim to establish our responsibilities through these stated policies.

  • The highest standards of honest and ethical conduct are to be expected in all business interactions. Any and all forms of bribery are strictly prohibited.
  • We keep our employees up to date with safety and act consciously and consistently to limit risks as far as possible. Our employees take reasonable precaution to maintain a safe and healthy working environment to avoid the possibility of injury of their selves and members of the public.
  • We do not bully, intimidate or discriminate and we respect the human rights of others. We value and promote diversity in the terms of gender, culture and race giving people an equal opportunity.
  • Wages and benefits must meet minimum national requirements. We comply with the legislation on minimum wages and under take to pay overtime when required.
  • Our company eliminates child labour and does not employ people that are under the minimum working age under local legislation.

We will actively seek partners, sub-contractors and suppliers who are committed to sustainability, diversity and who themselves operate responsibility, ethically and value the same principles that we do as a company.
